A heavenly month in the Gardens. The ancient tree rhododendrons are in full scented bloom, and are washed with pinks and lilacs. The cherry and apple trees are in blossom, and the woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells. On the Italianate terrace, late pale pink double tulip 'Angelique' is paired with deep purple tulip 'Queen of the Night', mirroring the colours of the rhododendron and the copper beech beyond. |
